D1 Training, a leading athletic-based fitness and enrichment company, has announced the launch of its new podcast series, “The Turf: Powered by D1,” hosted by founder and CEO Will Bartholomew. The podcast will officially debut its first full episode on August 27, featuring Clark Lea, head football coach at Vanderbilt University.

Filmed inside D1 Training facilities, “The Turf” offers raw and unfiltered conversations with athletes, coaches, celebrities, and influencers who share insights about what it truly takes to train, compete, and succeed both on and off the field. The show aims to inspire and empower listeners at all stages, from youth athletes to seasoned professionals, by revealing the secrets behind elite performance.

Upcoming episodes will feature prominent figures such as Super Bowl champion Golden Tate, Cy Young Award winner R.A. Dickey, Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson, and country music star Chase Rice.

The debut episode features a heartfelt discussion between Bartholomew and Coach Clark Lea, highlighting their longstanding connection—from high school days to coaching and training their sons. Lea emphasizes the importance of the discipline and life skills that athletic training instills, calling it an honor to be part of the inaugural episode.

This podcast launch comes amid a milestone year for D1 Training, which has now surpassed 150 locations nationwide and is recognized as one of the fastest-growing fitness franchise systems. “The Turf” aims to broaden D1’s reach, celebrate its athletes, and further establish the brand as a leading authority in athletic-based training and franchise growth.

Bartholomew stated, “Franchise development is about more than opening doors; it’s about building a movement. This podcast gives us another way to spread the D1 story, celebrate our athletes, and showcase the culture that makes this brand so special.”

Listeners are invited to subscribe and join the conversation about what it truly takes to train for greatness, both on and off the turf.
