OOFOS, a leader in active recovery footwear, has partnered with Her Campus Media to launch an innovative initiative through the Her Campus Athletic Club, aiming to uplift and empower more than 1,500 college athletes as they enter the rapidly evolving world of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals. This collaboration offers student-athletes their very first NIL experience, providing not just sponsorship but also valuable branding training and resources essential for building their personal platforms as both athletes and influencers.

    Unique Brand Partnerships and Support

Under this partnership, each athlete in the expansive Her Campus Athletic Club network can opt into a brand partnership with OOFOS. Participating athletes receive recovery footwear, a Team OOFOS creator kit, and premium content tools, all designed to support their physical recovery and help them share their athletic journey online. This initiative sets a new standard for supporting college athletes, especially women, providing a meaningful bridge from college sports to branding and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Addressing Equity Gaps in Women’s Sports

The partnership directly tackles equity issues in sports sponsorship, offering opportunities where women’s athletics typically receive only a fraction of overall sponsorship dollars. A recent Her Campus Media survey showed that 90% of Gen Z women are sports fans, and 73% follow at least one women’s college sport, but there is still a significant gap in sponsorship and brand support. By connecting leading brands with student-athletes, OOFOS and Her Campus are working to close this gap, amplifying the reach and influence of female college athletes across the country.

    Building Brand, Community, and Influence

This initiative is more than just a marketing campaign—it provides education, resources, and a dynamic community to help athletes balance academic demands with athletic success and personal brand growth. Equipped with content creation resources and mentorship, Gen Z athletes are poised to become trendsetters on campus and beyond, driving cultural momentum and shifting the sports marketing landscape in favor of greater inclusion and representation.

    Innovation in Athlete Collaboration

OOFOS’ approach to NIL, showcased by this partnership and earlier groundbreaking sponsorships, demonstrates a commitment to authentic, athlete-centered collaboration that extends beyond simple endorsements. The partnership with Her Campus Media highlights how brands can play a vital role in shaping the future of collegiate athletics and ensuring that the next generation of athletes receives not only physical support but genuine opportunities for career and personal development.
